MOTW began as an Instagram page called Muslims of the World, founded by Sajjad Shah to share personal stories of resilience, faith, and humanity. What started as a storytelling effort grew into a global community that helped fund humanitarian causes including cataract surgeries, medical care, and shelter in places like Yemen and Ethiopia. Sajjad Shah and his wife later brought that same spirit into a physical space, opening MOTW Coffee and Pastries. Oakville’s Kerr Village is proud to be the setting for MOTW’s first and only Canadian location.

Every drink and pastry served at MOTW Oakville is 100% halal certified, including the signature Yemeni Chai, slow-simmered with black tea, whole spices, and evaporated milk. Located at 335 Kerr St between Lakeshore Rd W and Speers Rd, near Kerr Street Mission, The Moonshine Cafe, and Coronation Park, the space offers generous seating and an on-site meditation room, making it a genuine gathering place for the neighborhood to sit, meet, work, or reflect.
